Container scales

COMPASS container scale

VGM + VERMAS EDIFACT: container operated with spreader / RMG or RTG port crane / reach stacker
The FLINTAB COMPASS system allows you to streamline the operation of containers (and in particular individual packages) to determine the GROSS value of their mass and manage the weighing result associated with the other mandatory data that are written on the container. This process is completely automatic, with the operator being guided step by step during the operation of the containers. Weighing data are subject to the current Directive 2014/32 / EU. The COMPASS system contains the following modules:
  • Container scale - for weighing containers 20 ', 40', 45 'takes the GROSS value of the mass of the container in kg, date and time of weighing, eccentricity container in percent and center of gravity in coordinates
  • ACCR system - for reading container codes
  • Automatic terminal - for data acquisition
  • System interface - for bidirectional interfacing with the operator / service technician
  • FLINTAB server - for managing and storing FLINTAB data, system interfacing and sending VERMAS messages
The FLINTAB data represent all the mandatory and additional fixed data necessary for the generation of the VERMAS EDI message and other additional data taken over by the COMPASS system during operation and include:
  • VGM container in kg (according to SOLAS)
  • Container code (eg HLXU1234567) and container size / type
  • Date and time of weighing and weighing location
  • Method used to obtain VGM (Method 1 by default according to SOLAS)
  • VERMAS Fixed Additional Information
  • Additional information COMPASS system (weighing alibi, error / fault history, overloads, captured images, etc.)
The additional fixed VERMAS information will be entered / updated by the Customer in the system and will be automatically incorporated by the COMPASS system in a VERMAS EDI message built at the end of the operation of the current container. In addition to VERMAS EDI messages, a custom report can be generated as a printed VGM Certificate for certain selectable containers in a list.

COMPASS container scale

VGM + VERMAS EDIFACT: truck container The truck enters the Truck Scales and stops at the red light. Infrared barriers ensure proper scales. The ALPR system reads the registration numbers of the truck and the ACCR system reads the container code, data which - together with the weight - are sent to a PC station.

The green color of the traffic light validates the transaction and the driver can leave the road balance. All VERMAS EDIFACT messages and VGM certificates are the same as for the above automated system.
The COMPASS weighing system is the recommended solution for weighing containers. COMPASS is under construction HEAVY DUTY and high precision.
