CUBIC PACKAGING IDENTIFICATION, WEIGHING AND STATIC MEASUREMENT SYSTEM

The identification, weighing and static measurement system for cubic parcels is mainly intended for the processing of parcels in the express courier business.
The system allows the identification of packages based on the barcode scanning on their label, the static measurement and weighing of packages and the transmission of data online in the user's computer system, facilitating billing, sorting, storage and (or) shipping operations.
The system is urgently needed in the fast parcel for the correct invoicing of the parcels, by correlating their volume and weight, using the fictitious density ρ = 1.67 x 10-4 Kg / m3 respectively 1 / ρ = 6000 cm3 / Kg introduced by IATA.

Dimensional features:

Functional and technological features:

Room air parameters: temperature 50 ÷ 400C, relative humidity 85% without condensation
Specific consumption: Electricity max. 0.5 kW
Total net weight: 76 Kg

Handheld barcode scanner.

Weighing platform with Digital Weight Indicator BX1

Triad measuring the dimensions of the package by placing it at the origin of the coordinate system (L, L, H)

Scan barcodes from the package to the barcode strips attached to the trihedron

The PLC display will show:

L: package length expressed in m;
l: package width expressed in m;
H: package height expressed in m;
V: package volume expressed in m3;
Weight: weight of the package expressed in Kg;

The format of the data sent on the series is:
@|bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb|L,LLL |l,lll |i, iii|v,vvvvv |w, ww |;
where
- b - represents the value read by the barcode reader (40 characters);
- L - length;
- width;
- i – height;
- v– volume;
- w – weight;
@ - message starter
; - message end identifier
Ex:
@|XXX123654784343A++++++++++++++++++++++++|0.256 |0.136 |0.085 |0.00295 |2.1 |;
